Senior Nutrition Center

Just Enough Cooks in the KitchenHot meals, good conversation and caring interaction are on the menu each day at the Senior Nutrition Center. In addition to the delicious, nutritious, and affordable meals served Monday through Friday – a $3 suggested donation per lunch helps support the program – the Center, which is partially funded by an annual grant from the Town of East Hampton, offers exercise classes, scheduled games, and blood pressure screening.

Lunch Time at the Senior Nutrition CenterThose who attend the Senior Nutrition Center can participate in regularly scheduled programs – including exercise classes, bingo and dominoes – which occur just before, or directly after noon lunch.

Nurses from the South Fork Community Health Initiative visit the Center every second Thursday of the month to conduct blood pressure screenings, and round table discussions on various health issues, including diabetes and cardiovascular problems, are scheduled throughout the year.

Transportation for those in need can be provided by the Town of East Hampton.

As a community member since 1949, I can say without a doubt that the Playhouse is the best thing that has happened to Montauk. It is hard to imagine what we did without all of these important community assets.” – Theresa Harrington
