Perry B. Duryea III was born and raised in Montauk, NY. was employed at Perry Duryea & Son, a family seafood business, for 42 years, serving as President from 2004-2014. He currently runs the Montauk Cancer Support Group.

Michele Walsh, Vice President

Michele Walsh is a President and Co-Founder of IT Briefcase, a leading marketing company that assists business professionals overcome IT challenges. She is skilled at building external and internal relationships that benefit organizations.

Cynthia Ibrahim, Treasurer

Cynthia Ibrahim holds a degree in accounting and managed the Snug Harbor Motel and Marina for almost 30 years. Presently, she is working in real estate for Douglas Elliman and helps her husband manage their local business.

Lisa DeVeglio, President Emeritus

Lisa DeVeglio has been involved with the Playhouse project since its inception in 1999. She owned and operated a shop in downtown Montauk for 18 years and has worked for McCoy Bus Company for the past 15.

Nancy Elder

Nancy Elder is a member of the senior leadership team of JetBlue, overseeing their communications strategy. She has held communications and marketing leadership roles at GE, MasterCard, Marsh and Time Warner.

Tom Griffin

Tom Griffin, a children’s marketing, advertising and TV/Film production executive, was Chairman and Founder of Griffin Bacal Advertising (sold to Omnicom/DDB) and Sunbow Entertainment (sold to Sony).

Richard Monahan

Dick Monahan sits on the Board of Directors of the East Hampton YMCA, is an AEMT with and Commissioner of the Montauk Fire Department, and is a Town Ocean Lifeguard, among other numerous volunteer activities.

Carol Nye

Carol Macdonald Nye was born and raised in Montauk, NY. She is the founder of local magazine On Montauk. She served served as the publisher of On Montauk for twenty-five years.

Jeff Samuelson

Jeff Samuelson is a seasoned business executive with extensive management, marketing, sales and entrepreneurial experience. In addition, he is an active community member, having served on the boards of several nonprofit organizations.

Karen L. Thorson

Karen L. Thorson has worked as a producer in the film and television industry for several decades. Her resume includes producing credits on the HBO dramas The Wire and Treme. She served on the Board of the Metropolitan Opera Guild for 7 years.

Joan M. Lycke, Past President

Joan M. Lycke owns and operates the Montauk Laundromat. She served as President of the Foundation for 10 years and has been involved in many civic activities, including leading the efforts to build Montauk’s Library.

Susan Henkin, Executive Director

Susan has been the Executive Director of the Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation since 2016. She has worked as a community fundraiser, in professional and volunteer positions, for over twenty years.
