Now in its 9th year, the Montauk Ocean Swim Challenge, offers a rare opportunity to swim in an open water ocean race on the beautiful East End of Long Island. This annual event, organized by the East Hampton Volunteer Ocean Rescue Squad, benefits the Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation in its efforts to build a vibrant Aquatic and Cultural Arts Center.
The Challenge offers three distance categories for swimmers of all ages and abilities, ideal for recreational and competitive swimmers alike. Racers swim along Montauk’s scenic coastline and finish at the world-famous Ditch Plains Beach. Over 200 participants and supporters enjoy a post-swim breakfast.
Your participation and sponsorship of the Ocean Swim Challenge will ensure that East End residents of all ages can learn important drown proofing, water safety, and fitness skills.
