Playhouse Advisory Committee/Board of Managers
Soon after the Playhouse building was donated to the Town of East Hampton, the Town Board appointed a group of Montauk’s citizens to the Playhouse Advisory Committee to develop a comprehensive use plan for the Playhouse building.

The Advisory Committee was instrumental in recommending what services and facilities should be offered at the Community Center and worked closely with Bill Schlumpf of Island Structures Engineering to develop architectural and operating plans to meet the needs and wants of Montauk and its surrounding communities.

On January 1, 2006, the Advisory Committee dissolved, and the Board of Managers, made up of MPCCF and community members, Town staff, and others began meeting to set the management structure and policies for the Montauk Playhouse Community Center. The Board of Managers meets regularly.
