Opened officially in May 2006, the Montauk Playhouse Community Center has become the social and recreational hub of Montauk. The rehabilitated historic building currently boasts 24,000 square feet of finished space (Phase I), offering facilities, programming and services for six-week olds through 110-year olds.
On any given day, you can find residents and visitors playing basketball in the gymnasium, doing crafts in the Child and Senior Day Care programs, joining friends for lunch and socializing at the Senior Nutrition Center, playing in the outdoor children’s playground, taking in a quick workout at the fitness center, or even scheduling a physical therapy appointment.
Future plans call for finishing an additional 24,000 square feet with aquatics center and performing arts centers and community rooms (Phase 2).
