Area residents aged 60+ years, who are in need of daily supervision, attend the Adult Day Care Center at The Playhouse, which is operated by the Town of East Hampton Department of Human Services. The program, which runs Monday through Friday, offers a safe, home-like setting to residents who are frail impaired, physically or cognitively, and can benefit from socialization.
While providing supervision, nutrition, and socialization through intergenerational programs with the Montauk Child Care Center, crafts, music, exercise, and much more, the program allows participants to continue to live in their home community and offers respite for their caregivers.
